Meet your local traders - Rachael from Evolving Pain

Meet local business owner, Rachael ( and team! Rachael is in the blue striped dress)

Rachael is the owner of Evolving Pain, one of the newest businesses in Charles Street, Seddon - opening in 2024.

When asked why she chose Seddon for her business, Rachael said “I have always loved the energy and community feel of Seddon. I love the accessibility from all parts of Melbourne for people, the variety of restaurants and cafes and most of all the amount of Golden Retrievers that live here! I also love the multicultural aspect of being in the inner west and being able to support a diverse and vibrant community within and around Seddon.”

“The support we have been shown from the community has been amazing. I love the established health and wellness presence in Seddon and we look forward to supporting the existing businesses in working collaboratively to optimise outcomes for people living with pain and functional challenges.”

When explaining what happens behind the doors of Evolving Pain, Rachael explains “Pain physiotherapy and pain specialised OT is a little different from community Physio and OT. We do work with and are trained in general musculoskeletal and functional issues, however our point of difference and where we thrive is when good tissue-based therapy doesn’t necessarily move a patient forward in their journey and other factors need to be considered.”

“We have extra training to deal with other complex systems that may be contributing to pain and functional challenges. This includes and is not limited to recognising the Biological, Psychological, Social and Nervous system adaptions to prolonged exposure to pain.”

“We are a tight knit bunch of passionate humans dedicated to supporting the community by empowering the lives of people living with pain and fatigue conditions.
