Meet local business owner, Laura.

Laura became the proud owner of Miss An'am in July 2016. Working in the business with the previous owners meant she knew most of the customers, and she was (and is) a much loved member of the Seddon community.

Eight years later, what started as “a trial in running a small business” is now a Seddon institution and favourite spot for locals especially those keen on The Age trivia quiz and some banter to accompany the coffee.

“It's hard to describe this part. My personal circumstance back then turned a big corner and starting a small business was a trial (without knowing if I could make it actually). But I chose Seddon mainly because I knew most customers before taking over the business. The locals were nice and very supportive”.

In Laura’s words “Maybe, we are the only cafe in Seddon who don't do scrambled eggs or mashed avocados. Seddoners definitely come to us for good coffees, home cooked style Asian food and community vibe. But we offer more than just coffee. You can find love here.”
