Meet Robert from Seddon Book Alley
Robert is the friendly face on the tools and over the counter at Seddon Book Alley. He’s been running this new and pre-loved book store in Seddon for over 7 years, and loves his local Seddon community.
We asked Robert a few questions to help you get to know him and his heart for the locals.
Q. How would you describe Seddon Book Alley?
A. Seddon Book Alley is a general second-hand bookshop. We have carefully curated a selection of quality second-hand books to suit all interests, stocking books on most subjects including cookery, literature, music, the arts, history, philosophy, psychology, gardening and children’s books. Oh, and we do book repairs also!
Q. How has Seddon Book Alley changed over the past 7 years?
A. We started in an alley - hence the name - and found a local community that embraced our business, and quickly outgrew the space. Relocating to a larger premises has given us the opportunity to grow our range and number of titles. We now enjoy seeing book lovers not just from our local and surrounding suburbs, but from much further away coming to enjoy the unique Seddon experience of which we are a part of.
Q. What do you love most about the Seddon community?
A. It’s just small enough to know and appreciate one another within the community.
Q. What is one thing you believe makes Seddon unique?
A. It has a sense of local community - a “village” feel.
