Meet your local traders - Natalie from Dusty Disco Ball

Meet local business owner, Natalie.

Natalie is the owner of Dusty Disco Ball, providing sewing and craft classes for children and adults; as well as being a fabric designer of unique and colourful fabrics that fuse modern and retro styles.

Natalie opened Dusty Disco Ball in 2023. She chose Seddon for the location of her business as it “has lots of colour and life; it’s a gorgeous suburb to be part of! I thought that Dusty Disco Ball would fit in well with what’s here already and add another dimension to it. It’s a great place to be within the inner West.”

“I’ve always loved the cosy atmosphere of the Seddon Village. There are lots of unique shops, great cafes and local services all within a short walk. When I have visitors from out of town, it’s always been on my list of favourite Melbourne spots to take people for lunch and a look around.”

Natalie has a flexible approach to teaching and problem solving that works really well for teaching neurodiverse students. She’s proud to be able to offer a flexible, neurodivergent-friendly approach to teaching classes and will happily provide support and accommodations.

With over 40 years experience in sewing and various craft techniques, Natalie is the perfect teacher for locals. “I really enjoy teaching my students how to be confident in tackling creative projects, so I always pass on my problem-solving approach to any issues that might come along.”
